1. The Nebulon app licence
Your use of the Nebulon: Sky Map & Stargazing iPhone app ("Nebulon") is governed by Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the "Standard EULA"): https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/. These terms add to it. If they conflict for the app, the Standard EULA wins.
2. Using Nebulon
Nebulon and nebulon.app are for personal, non-commercial use. Don't misuse the service: for example, don't try to overload or break the server, scrape it in bulk, or get around its limits.
3. Forecasts and safety
Sky conditions, cloud forecasts, light-pollution levels, space weather and event times are estimates from public data and models, and they can be wrong. Never look at the Sun with the naked eye, binoculars or a telescope. Take care when you travel to dark places at night: tell someone where you are going, respect private property and local rules, and pay attention to the road.

4. Content from others
Pictures, articles, catalogues and data in Nebulon come from the sources listed on the Data & Credits page (nebulon.app/credits), under their own licences and credits. Official articles from NASA, ESA/Hubble, ESA/Webb, ESO and NOIRLab are shown in full under their licences. Press items from other publishers show only the headline, a short summary and a link to the publisher, with no publisher images. NASA and the other sources do not endorse Nebulon. Nebulon's own design, code and text belong to us.
5. Nebulon Pro
- Nebulon Pro unlocks extra features in the app: the sky through your camera, planets in 3D, deeper zoom, time travel, sky colours, satellite pass reminders, the full Dark Sky Map with the darkest spots nearby, clear-sky alerts, every look and app icon. The app shows the current list before you buy.
- Everything else stays free. So do the Realistic sky colour, the System, Apple Light and Apple Dark looks, the Astronomy Picture of the Day for every day, with its calendar, and the live Dark Sky Map window on Tonight with your own Bortle level. In the Dark Sky Map, full screen, the darkest-spot pins and "Darkest nearby", the drive suggestion, saving spots and place search are part of Nebulon Pro.
- We change the Pro features only for a valid reason, such as legal or regulatory changes, security, changes by our data providers or by Apple, or improving the app. If a change significantly reduces Nebulon Pro, we will tell you in the app in advance, and you can cancel your subscription (see below) and ask Apple for a refund under Apple's policies.
- Nebulon Pro is an auto-renewing subscription, available monthly or yearly. The yearly plan starts with a 7-day free trial for new subscribers. There is no lifetime or one-time purchase.
- Prices vary by country and are shown in your currency, with any taxes, in the app and on the App Store before you buy (for example, US$24.99 a year or US$3.99 a month in the United States).
- Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase.
- Subscriptions renew automatically at the same price unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your Apple Account is charged for the renewal within the 24 hours before the period ends.
- The free trial turns into a paid yearly subscription unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends. If you buy another Nebulon Pro option during the trial, the rest of the trial ends.
- You can manage or cancel your subscription in the iPhone Settings app › your name › Subscriptions, or in the App Store › your account › Subscriptions. Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep Nebulon Pro until the end of the period you paid for.
- Refunds are handled by Apple under its policies, at reportaproblem.apple.com.
- To use Nebulon Pro on a new or reset iPhone signed in with the same Apple Account, open Profile › Nebulon Pro in Nebulon and tap Restore purchases (Restore is also at the bottom of the plans).
6. Availability and changes
We work to keep Nebulon running, but a data source or the server can pause or stop, for example when a provider changes or ends its service. We change the app and these terms only for a valid reason, such as legal or regulatory changes, security, changes by our data providers or by Apple, or improving the app. The effective date above shows the latest version. If a change to these terms is significant, we will tell you in the app before it takes effect. If a change significantly reduces Nebulon Pro, we will tell you in the app in advance, and you can cancel your subscription and ask Apple for a refund under Apple's policies. If you keep using Nebulon after a change, the new terms apply.
7. No warranty and liability
Nebulon is provided "as is", to the extent the law allows. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for decisions you make based on a forecast. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that cannot be limited.
