Nebulon: Sky Map & Stargazing shows what is in your sky tonight: how dark it will be, the clouds hour by hour, the Moon, planets, stars and constellations through your camera, meteor showers, the northern lights, satellite passes, NASA's picture of the day and space news. It is an iPhone app; this website presents it.

FAQ

Why does Nebulon need my location?

To work out what is visible from where you are and the forecast for your place. The position sent to our server is rounded to about 1 km and not stored. See the Privacy Policy. You can also choose a place with the location chip on the Tonight tab instead.

How accurate is the cloud forecast?

It comes from Apple Weather and is a forecast, not a guarantee; it is most reliable for the next few hours.

Why don't I see notifications?

Check that notifications are on for Nebulon in the Settings app and in Nebulon itself.

How do I stop notifications?

Turn them off in Nebulon or in the Settings app. Turning them off in Nebulon also deletes your push token from our server.

Do I need an account?

No. Nebulon has no accounts or sign-in. Your saved places stay on your iPhone.

Where do the news articles come from?

Full articles from NASA, ESA/Hubble, ESA/Webb, ESO and NOIRLab; headlines and summaries from other publishers through the Spaceflight News API, which open on the publisher's site. See Data & Credits.

What needs an internet connection?

Forecasts, the pictures of the day, news, search, satellite orbits, the deep-zoom stars, the Dark Sky Map's map and messages and posts from Nebulon come over the internet, so they need a connection.

Which devices are supported?
